Hey everyone, so Silv and I have a webseries in the making and wanted all our tumblr followers to know too! Here’s a link to our fb page for all the updates. https://www.facebook.com/SweetheartsOfTheGalaxy we also have a blogger…but not sure if that’s going to be kept up. Anyway, go check it out, we hope you like what we’re throwing down so far!
Follow Friday: Sweethearts of the Galaxy
Tallest Silver and Kit Quinn return to Follow Friday, but this time the stakes are higher. The last time I spoke of the duo, it was just an introduction to two die-hard fans who made notoriety purely through being their genuine, awesome fangirl selves. This time however, it’s to share their cause in building a webseries about that awesome fangirldom.
Miss Kit Quinn’s blurb doesn’t delve into it, but their Kickstarter page certainly does. “Sweethearts of the Galaxy” is the story of two loveable friends who enjoy the worlds of comic books and cosplay and do a damn fine job at it. Where it separates from being a biopic of Tallest and Kit is that one of them, Katelynn has a nasty spill and awakes truly believing herself to be the superhero who’s costume she dons. Meanwhile, the other Silvia, does her best to help her friend cope by recreating superheroic events through shenanigans.
As if this premise wasn’t silly and entertaining enough, then you remember it stars Kit and Tallest. Who are actors on top of everything else they are that makes this work. The series would do well enough under the creative team they’ve got behind the scenes, but with Kit and Tallest portraying characters that were born from their respective essence, it’s going to be amazing. Seriously, watch their Kickstarter video. You get a real sense of how this show is going to be, and how awesomely those two are going to be in it together. The promo alone got me excited for it, but just hearing them talk about the show made me laugh out loud.
And since their being so humble as to ask for support in an amount that is actually less than their budget, which is already far less than most budgets I’ve seen on Kickstarter, I’m going to say that they deserve all the support and funding they can get. The two are quite resourceful, but with an actual budget at their disposable freeing them from tying up their time shaking down loved ones, they could really make this series the next great fandom epic.
